What it is
An independent, non-commercial information page about what training to fly a Cirrus involves. It exists because the topic is genuinely confusing from the outside — CSIP, CTC, Embark, COPA and CPPP are all different things run by different organisations — and a plain explanation is useful.
What it is not
It is not Cirrus Aircraft, not a Cirrus Training Center, not authorized by or connected to Cirrus Aircraft in any way, and not a flight school. It does not offer, sell, broker or arrange training, instructors, aircraft or checkrides, and it does not list or rank schools. If you want authorized training, go to Cirrus directly — they publish a locator for their authorized network.
On the name
This domain was acquired second-hand. The name predates this content and is descriptive of the subject; it is not a claim of authorization, which is why that notice appears at the top of every page rather than buried in a footer.
Accuracy
Aircraft documentation, training syllabi, insurance requirements and regulations change, and they differ by model, country and operator. Everything here is background reading with a shelf life. Where it matters, the POH/AFM for your specific aircraft, current official publications and a qualified instructor are the authorities — not this page.
